“A Quilt of a Country: Out of One, Many?”

The author talks about how america was put together and how it went from a small union to a thriving diverse collection of cultures and different races. The first Americans were minorities and people trying to find fortune and successes and that has not changed at all. The United States is one of the greatest and strongest countries on the planet and thats because a country is a reflection of its people. The diveristy of america is unlike any other country in the world since even the smallest minority has a voice everyine has a chance to make the country better.

Many countries out there dislike the United States but would give anything to live here and be given a chance at success. America and its people do what they can to help out struggling nations and strive to bring peace. Although America may be founded on multiple cultures its united as one and its called the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

  2. we probably all read the same article cus it was the shortest and the other one didnt make sense but i do agree with your article also, america is the country for opportunity. We are hated by many other countries because we have so many benefits and freedoms that other countries dont have. We still have cultural and racial issues but we continue to strive and get past those issues day by day. Thats what makes America so unique!

  3. The author, I believe, was trying to say that this country allows people to come together because we acknowledge all beliefs. Our tolerence has not been perfect in the past but the point is that our laws and visions are an accumulation of the many people we have on earth. I feel that you were right in saying that we do what we can to help other nations, but are also missing out on the fact that while this is about the ability to succeed in America, it's more about the fact that no one is meant to or allowed to stand in your way. The country may not have accomplished giving this right to everybody, yet, but its goal is to get there eventually.

  4. Agreed. Why have one when you can have them all?
